I say probably not. The phenomena that has caused so many billions of dollars of losses, and yes has imploded at least 209 major lenders, was a recent phenomena.
People were obtaining mortgages before these 0 down, 80-20. stated, and yes irresponsible loans were available. People can obtain loans after, even now. It is about to get even better than the past as the house and the senate work out a compromise on FHA reform bills.
Some borrowers will have to clean up credit, pay off some debt, or fix something. But almost all of you are within reach of a home mortgage.
