The Mortgage Mess, Turning Things Around One Good Step After Another
Posted by admin under: Main Dec 19To me what we need is happening. It is all about turning things around. The sub prime mess needs cleaning up. Individuals should take personal responsibility. No heads should be in the sand pretending. Help is out there. Some borrowers didn’t need sub prime in the first place. FHA secure is helping. FHA refinances may make sense. If you do not have a loan where your interest rate is about 6%, call a real estate agent, contact me even, get a referral for a loan officer that is doing business with real estate agents. These are the most likely to know their stuff and have all the right tools.
Here is part of what I mean when I say it is about turning things around.
From Taffy writing on the site, FHA Mortgage Center.
A few blogs ago I shared with you about the FHA Secure loan. After doing some extensive reading this morning based on the unveiling of the new plan, I found that the FHASecure has already begun helping people. According to a press release that I read dated on December 4, 2007 it stated that tens of thousands of homeowners are refinancing their exotic subprime loans with HUD’s new government backed mortgage product. HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson announced that more than 33,000 borrowers have already refinanced their subprime home loans with FHASecure. The FHASecure is a government-insured foreclosure avoidance initiative created in September.
Sure, 33,000 isn’t 1 million, but it is a start and a good step.
